So I think I have a small nest or something inside of my wake tower. I see wasps entering from the bottom of the tower, the fold hinge area. Any ideas on the best way to get rid of them?

I'm thinking
1. Some sort of gas so it gets where it needs to get to. Problem is my boat is wetslipped, I don't want to poison neighbors.
2. unfold the tower, spray the wasp killer that travels 30 feet in a stream and hope I hit the nest.
3. run a snake up the tube and try to hit the nest.

none sound like fun and I don't have any equipment to keep me from getting stung.

I could call an exterminator, probably costs $200 - $300.

So many better things to spend money on.....

The stuff the Orkin guy used on a nest I had way up on the house peak worked well. Not sure what it is. Basically they hit the opening and it doesn't kill them right away, they drag it into the nest and then it kills them off.

I kept shooting the intsa kill foam stuff but they kept coming back through other entrance ways.

I deal with those suckers all the time, to the point I have strategically placed cans of WASP killer spray around my property.
One bit of advice, whatever you plan on doing, do it at night when they are sleeping/resting/less active. During the day they might not all be in the nest and they are crazy aggressive. I kill/remove my nests at night to avoid getting stung. Spray, run and wait it out till the AM to make sure they are gone.

If you know where the only entrance/exit is, simply apply some residual insecticide (indoor rated Ortho Home Defense); spray it around the opening. As they come and go, they will all die - it will take a day or two. After they are dead, rinse the area and remove the nest to prevent new hatchlings.
