Well, like an idiot I backed down the ramp with the ladder down and it caught the ground and bent the hull attachment so the ladder won’t go back up. Got the news part in today. Should I be putting any sort of sealant on the bolts before they go back in?

And I was one of those (who did the same dumb thing--backed right into the shore with the thing deployed).

No sealant required. I think I put anti-seize--that is all.

Thanks! It feels like they are bolted into something rubberish inside the hull. Definitely doesn’t feel like it’s steel on steel.

I believe that they have silicone sealing the bolts on the inside. I just pulled mine and installed the new one. No leaks for me...

Makes sense. All put back together. I needed a new rubber latch for the ladder anyway at least it came with the kit :) but pretty stupid you can’t order the hull attachments separate from the actual ladder, have to buy the whole assembly

I got it from boats.net it was actually in stock and shipped next day. I use yamaha sports plaza to find the part numbers because they have all the nice parts diagrams but then usually order from boats.net because it’s cheaper.
