Hi All,

I have a 2022 255XD and experienced my first issue on the water yesterday... Luckily, it was an easy fix, but thought I would share for others.

The issue::
  • Port engine would start but I had no throttle
  • After taking it out of the water, the port side reverse bucket could be moved by hand
The Fix::
  • The Port side throttle cable lever (Under that black plastic cover inside the helm cabinet) was slightly flipped to 'Manual' instead of 'Electronic'
  • 2022-05-31_08-57-25.png
  • I moved both (P + S) levers to Manual, slide the cables all the way up and then move both levers firmly in the 'Electronic' position
I guess with a lot of the bumps on the water yesterday, the lever navigated away from the Electronic position slightly.

Hope this helps others.

Just saved me a trip to the dealer, $600 in gas to go there and back twice, 3 weeks without our boat, and likely them doing something else. It worked like a charm... all it cost me was a little embarrassment on the ramp. That I can handle, daily if need be. Thank you!
