Went out yesterday morning and went for a cruse for about 20 minutes and everything was going great. We get to our favorite spot called sand island, and my wife throws the bow anchor out, I go to put the boat in reverse and something strange happened. The engine was pumping water but I had no controlled movement. Same thing in forward. Fortunatly we were only 100 feet from shore, so we paddled in and set the stern anchor.

Upon inspecting the reverse gate, I find that one of the bolts that act as a hinge is GONE! So the gate is hanging from just one. So here we are 2 miles from shore and the boat is acting wacky and no tools.

So I called Alpin Haus (our dealer) and they pulled a bolt out of another 165 that was on the showroom floor. Again, Fortunatly my buddy was on his way down to get gas for his pwc and was only about 10 miles away from Alpin Haus, so he went and got the bolt and brought it and an open end wrench to us!

Use thread locking compound on it and the others.
