Ribbon delete problem

I have a 15 AR190 & when I removed the ribbon the Riva sleeve was too small. Riva is sending me the bigger sleeve. Not sure why there would be smaller intake manifolds for the same motor and relatively close in year? ?

Those were changed in 1.8s along the entire intake manifolds 2014,2015 and 2016.
I'll try to find the exact parts tonight.

I thought I had the larger ribbon and made my own aluminum ring but when I removed the ribbon from the aluminum intake manifold it was the smaller one. I ended up not putting anything in there. Boat ran fine without it.

That is very odd..... Is your intake manifold plastic/composite?

On my 2014 190 the manifold is composite with the smaller ribbon. On my 2012 VXR the manifold is aluminum with the larger ribbon.

So RIVA is going to provide me with the correct sleeve, no charge. Even though I opened the existing one. What a great company.

@Spooling , please list or relist the riva part numbers and sizes of each to help future buyers.

Fyi - I have r&d sleeves but recall that they offer two different sizes as well.

RY12055-IMUK is the larger sleeve for the aluminum manifold.
RY12040-IMUK is the smaller sleeve for the plastic/composite manifold.

I find that so strange that your newer boat has the aluminum manifold. I would have thought that if my 2014 had the plastic manifold that all newer boats would have it as well.
