Hey
We took our AR230 HO twin engine out today and at various speeds above idle my starboard engine would drop approximately 1000 rpm’s. It would randomly come back as well.
Anyone seen this before? Any ideas?
Happens constantly as well….

I assume this has to do with your check engine light. Make sure your battery connections are good. Might be worth taking the batteries to your local parts store to test them as well. Check engine oil level. And change the spark plugs if you haven’t already.

No lights on gauges, only one engine does it running on one battery.

Also my port engine light flashed code 19 incorrect voltage later on in the day on our way in. The opposite engine. Could these things be related?

I’d get the battery tested for sure, definitely feel it could be related since the RPMs drop so suddenly.. Throttle drop isn’t the issue so we don’t need to worry about that. I’d make sure your oil level is okay and your air filter looks clean. Change the spark plugs on the starboard engine if you haven’t already, since the MR1s are super sensitive to that.

I’ll give all that a go…
Thanks

Had a similar issue on my 232, changed the plugs and the issue went away

I did that and it did fix the rpm drop….
Thanks for everyone's help.
