Running from Irma with bent trailer!

Glad your getting this fixed Amar. I was literally staring at the ceiling in bed last night saying a prayer that you would make it through this without incident.

I understand that you were "along for the ride" on this whole thing. Sometimes it's tough to convince a friend that what he's doing is just not going to work. I'm glad you were able to get him to do the right thing.

Back on the road again. Trailer fixed properly by an excellent guy Ricks Mobile Services. He is very humble, down to earth , reasonable and knows his job. I highly recommend him.

I just found this I didn't realize the link was on Facebook
Are you out of Florida yet

Arrived home safely and the trailer looks rock solid. Thank you all.

Cheers
Amar

Looks like a great fix.

WOW.... this thread is excellent. Not for the situation, but the comradery, and spirit of community. My thoughts are with you guys in the storm(s) paths.

I was on the seat of my chair reading the whole thread. I'm so very happy that this issue got resolved safely.

Stay strong friends!

@Amar Nanduri So sorry to see your trailer all messed up because some scumbag did a hit and run on it in the Keys!! I don't know what it is but Floridians cant drive worth a Sh*t. I have had my truck hit twice by two idiots since I have lived here which isn't quite 2 years. Did you make it out and back ok??? I went all the way to western GA with my boat to avoid the storm. I faired really well considering the distance and the fact that the trailer leaf springs are starting to rust a lot. I hope you faired well with the storm....

@Amar Nanduri I don't know what it is but Floridians cant drive worth a Sh*t. ....

The problem is MOST Floridians are from somewhere else and some bring bad driving habits with them.... I am from Wis. and have seen some bad drivers here and up there. There just seems to be a higher concentration of them in the Tampa area. Some old, some young and some that just don't pay attention.

I had to replace my suspension after 3 years, aside from the 6 calipers. I'm sure they will give me trouble soon. One already likes to hang up when I park it for any length of time. Even after rinsing well.

Tampa is the worst place in the country for drivers. This isn't just my biased opinion.... I heard from everyone that visits here. On the plus side, it makes the rest of us with brains, great defensive drivers.

Thank you @Wr3ckdiver . We arrived safely. A lot of lessons learnt this time. Like @Betik says this year I seem to be jumping from one fire to another and somehow getting out of it safely. November December is going to be interesting again when I am back in Florida with my boat for a complete week of adventure.

this is a little late.. if I would have been a member of the forum at this time.. I would have told you to take my trailer for my boat.. it is sitting in storage as I dry dock my boat.. it is stored of 95 and 79th street..
