So I have a question and I'm wondering if anybody out there has any information on this or has heard about this at all. I recently bought a Scarab 195 a 2015 model it has six hours on the engine I was talking with one of the salesman and he had advised me that after eight hours that the ECU will open up and let the engine perform at a higher RPM does anybody know if this is true.

Yes it's true . There is a break in period that restricts rpm . After that you'll have full rpm range and speed.
Congrats on the new boat !

It is actually 6.1 hours,...in clarity it's 6 total, with .1 over for more power for the break in. The 160HP don't have that feature. Also, during that time the ECU learns every time you use it. So hopefully some one used it too it's limits. It's made to run, not babied!
