Hi all - I'm posting as I've sort of run into a brick wall with BRP/Rotax for my Scarab 215 Twin Rotax 200, and looking for any advice or guidance. During the Summer of 2019 (1st Summer using the boat) I encountered an issue with only 11 hours on it – Fault Code P0542. I had to return to Dealer for an oil pressure issue, which they fixed under Warranty. This Summer (2020), opened boat and launched and within 20 minutes, encountered another issue, throwing Fault Codes P0300 & P0301, for both Port & Starboard engines. With only 13 hours on boat, BRP/Rotax won’t cover as Warranty work – any contacts or suggestions welcome - Help!!

Hi and :Welcome: to the forum!!!

What is the condition of your battery(s). I got these error codes when the my battery was low. Fact is these engines with all their electronics demand a fully charged battery. Letting them run down is not a good idea. I installed an inboard battery charger to maintain full battery level.

Thanks for the response - I thought I'd replied, but don't see it, oh well. Batteries are/were both fully charged and now the dealer's saying that I need to vary the speed - what??? Besides, I'd literally only had the boat in the water for 20 minutes, when I encountered the problem, and was only running at about 1/2 speed.

I have a 215 ID with twin 200's (17 hours on engines) and had the same low oil pressure signal go off today when out on the water. We had just gotten started and after about 15 minutes the signal buzzed aloud. I lowered the rpm's to idle and then turned off the boat and checked the oil which was good. Restarted and headed back to the dock to load up. I didn't wanna get stranded on the river. While heading back to dock, the signal didn't come on again. I'm going out again tomorrow so we'll see what happens.

I had that issue in the beginning when i was doing sharp maneuvers in the boat. Still happens when i do sharp tuens but doeant affect how the boat runs overall.
