I did a bone headed stunt and sucked a rope up in the pump. Now I will have to wait 4 weeks for back ordered part. Not to happy with myself and Scarab for no part availability.
Sorry to hear about your trouble. Welcome aboard, you came to the right place!
If you can post up pix, description of the part, part number, anything, the people here may be able to give you a cross reference. If this is a driveline part, there is likely a BRP/Sea-Doo part that will work as BRP is the OEM on the drive...Scarab may be back-ordered but if the part(s) aren't Scarab-specific, it/they should be available elsewhere.
I have a question about the back order, and how and what happened when you sucked up the rope. Can you post pics of the intrusion?
BRP parts are readily available as the 1503 jet package is one of the most common marine jet propulsion engines in the world. Maybe we can help you get your parts, and save you some cash.
Also, what damage was caused by the rope? The Rotax engine has a steel shield protecting the shaft from getting entangled. Did it collapse?

SHAFT GUARD ASSY P/N 460824 is the part that has been on back order for 3 weeks and is scheduled to ship June 11th (Total 5 weeks).
The rope was sucked up around 10lf of it. Cut the rope and tried pulling it off. There was vibration in the pump which I thought was just the rope being there. Put it on a trailer cut out all the rope I could see. Ran it for a couple seconds just to find more rope and some was spit out the rear. Did not run the motor much after rope was caught in it, but the bearing on the shaft went bad that was the vibration.
The guard did not collapse and didn't seem to do much for the rope binding up around the shaft.
