Hi Everyone, I have a 2017 215 HO Impulse and I have a question. When I bought the boat, it was recommended to me that I change the oil every 25 hours. While I had the boat out over the winter I went ahead and did that. Now that my engines both have 25 hours on them, a symbol has lite up on the control panel. It is a wrench in a circle in orange. I can't find this symbol anywhere in the manual and all other aspects of the boat are great, performance is amazing and so on. I am wondering if anyone knows if this light is just a maintenance reminder or a system check light?

would appreciate any help.

Thanks

Hi Dan, I don't have the same boat, but I'm pretty sure all the maintenance is very similar. I've attached two files. One is from the Scarab owner's manual on general maintenance and the other is the Rotax engine maintenance schedule. If you follow those, you should be good to go for many years to come. As for your 25h oil change, no. That is simply not necessary. Rotax/Scarab says every 50 hours or every year, whichever comes first. Don't forget the filter too! The light is most likely the "hey, don't forget to bring it in for the 25h check" light. As you can see from the owner's manual schedule, you're suppose to bring it in at 25h. After that, you just follow the longer term schedule.
