2020 212x- can I screw into the floor carpeted area near recessed batteries? What’s under that area next to batteries?
White plastic cutting board from Walmart is much cheaper than starboard FYI. View attachment 176123
Careful with the white cutting board. Extreme heat and humidity and other factors can cause it to deteriorate, and it can be dimensionally unstable. Also some are really affected by UV.
Man thank you so much for all the information! I really appreciate it. My boat is badass and bumps with all the extra stuff but I’m picky and I want it clean and more accessible. I’ll get this figured out with your tips. Gracias amigoI had the same one for my old amp, held up well for 2.5 years down here in Florida. Still looked/felt new minus some rust stains from the non stainless screws I used.

Another awesome "How Too" Thanks @Geoff Cooper !
3M Adhesive Sealant Holds fantastic. 5200 is much more permanent and stronger. For instance under my helm, I used 5200 on a piece of 3/4" starboard to glue it basically and then mounted a lot of stuff to it. Also same procedecure for fire extinguisher mount. Also use it for sealing below the waterline, and all sorts of things on our boats.
