Hey everyone I got a sea ray 120 hp and I feel it runs good but a can’t get more than 28 mph it’s that normal or can be calibration or something else, impeller was mess up so I try to make it sharp by my self I don’t know if that it’s the problem.

Jet pumps are sensitive to the tolerances between the impeller and the wear ring that surrounds them. You'd probably be better off replacing the impeller than fixing it yourself.

I agree with you but with this type of boat parts are impossible to find 😩

Also very sensitive to flow path, so make sure that is all smoothed out with no gaps or caulk hanging off into the flowpath.

ok question it’s like a red rubber on the edge I was planning to take that off

Got a pic of the flowpath? Maybe with the impeller installed so we can see the gap to the ring?

That’s the ring and you can see on the bottom of the boat the red stripe and the impeller 😥

Ah, ok. Red stripe is a keel guard. If it is not falling off or anything, I would leave it. It is not your issue.

That last pic of your impeller I think tells the story. I don't have a SR, but here, for example, is mine the last time I pulled mine:

(sorry for the full size, but so you can see the impeller). Ignore the golf ball--that was not stock. But check my leading edge (the first part to contact the water) against yours.

I think you definitely need a new impeller there. Even if you clean that one up, I think you will remove too much material to keep it balanced properly and all.

Ohhh wow yes big difference, it’s so hard to find parts for this boat 🥴 I email leading edge to see if they have one or can fixed or maybe the part number 😩
