Selling our boat privately, what do I need to be mindful of?

Just to add my experience selling an RV. I simply wrote up a bill of sale with instructions on how to do a wire transfer to the bank for the agreed amount (you can also do a second wire for any balance leftover). Once payment was posted I handed RV over and the title was mailed to me, which I mailed to the buyer within a week.

I agree. In my opinion there isn't another good option considering the circumstances.
Working with the dealer now on a consignment sale, and yea, their take will be 10%. They wouldn't do it last year due to a glut of inventory, but now they've sold most off and have space for mine.
