service manual selection

So I was looking at ordering a service manual and on Yamaha's web site you are asked to pick a model. I didn't know there were 3 different model numbers for my boat, any ideas on how to determine the correct one?

I found mine on the paperwork when I picked it up. The dealer had it listed with the HID and engine s/n's

You can also find that information on a sticker in the engine compartment.

That is interesting that they want the model number other than year a basic model. Because the service manual in the past, has covered for example...one manual for SX/AR 240, 242L/LS, and all versions of these (calif too). Not a manual for all of them individually. My guess is when you order it, you will find the manual still covers all variants of a 240/242. May just be the way the website is set up and some things are more specific, but you still have to go through the narrowing to get to it.
