How do I setup my 212x for better surfing? The wave does not have enough push. I have Yamaha’s wake booster but I’m thinking of trying a different one or using a wake wedge with the booster. Not sure this will work. I may add a transom bag as well. Anyone had luck producing a good wave with the 212x?

The Wake Wedge will not work with the wake booster. The Answer is the transom bag.

you need added ballast. Get on youtube and look at a few peoples setups. theres some really impressive waves made by 212s with both the wake booster and the wake wedge.

Like said you have to use one or the other. Heres a link to a 212x with wakebooster and added ballast.
2017 212X - 750lbs custom fatsac for a Yamaha boat on the swim platform of the surf side, and a 150lbs fatsac (blue) if only one person (driver) is on the boat. If two people are on the boat, then the 150lbs fatsac is not used. The center ski locker is a factory 800lbs ballast. That day there were four people on the boat.

What’s better?
Think I may be a little biased on that opinion...lol. The Wake booster does ok, but the Wake Wedge has many advantages over it.

You need a transom bag and if you want to get carried away you can put a square bag on your floor.

Ballast is key. Even some of the newer better wakeboats need to add more ballast
