Yup. I replaced mine within hours of buying the boat. Had the rims and tires stacked up and covered in my back yard for about 5 months before I got around to selling them on Craigslist. When I uncovered them to wipe them down for pics, they were all bubbled up and flaking. Horrible. They were never used (35 miles maybe) or submerged, never saw the sun, rain or wind. I tried to carefully scrape it all off but what a hassle without scratching the chrome.

Unfortunately these trailers suck. Bad rims, wrong tires, bending and cracking diamond plate, bolts falling off, cracking fender mounts and a bow roller that scratches your gel coat. Yamaha really should not use these.

Yup....my rims have this problem too....but, soon enough I won't have to worry about this nor any other shorelander problem anymore as I'm ditching this trailer. Loose bolts and multiple trips to fix cracked poor quality diamond plate fendors....just.....had enough.

Yes, picked up my boat in August and noticed right away the clear coating cracking off. Now, that I've heard all these other horror stories with the Shorelander trailers, I'm going to be giving mine a really good look before the season starts!

As far as looks go, I couldn't care less about the trailer. As long as it reliably gets the boat to the lake when needed, it's fine. I'll rather blow the cash on the boat and gas.
