I’m reading that the Shorelandr wiring harness includes a ground wire. What color is it?

My trailer guides (led light on top) say to connect the black wire (from guide) to trailer brown. Then ground to the frame by drilling a hole and adding a screw.

Shouldn’t I be able to just spice into the ground wire too? Wouldn’t that be better?

Thanks!

I’ll add that I did look at my manual and it didn’t mention a whole lot about the wiring.

Looks like choices would be brown, white or yellow.

I have those 3 colors coming to the rear left and brown and white split off and go across the rear cross member to the right side tail light.

If I’m following things correctly, anyway.

White is ground, brown is running light and green is stop/turn for right side, yellow is stop/turn for left side.

Cool. I’ll give it a try. I’ve been piddling around with zip ties hoping that someone would respond before I got to that point. Lol!

No sweat, I was fixing a light on my trailer last night. Trailer is a 2018 and I am losing connections due to corrosion already. What a joke.

What trailer guides did you go with?

Worked great, thanks!

I have the CE Smith 60” plus pads. Actually kept them from my old boat. If you look in my signature, I have a link to mods from my SX210. I’ve got a few pics and links in there. I’ll take a couple pics of everything on this boat tomorrow. I plan to make a similar document to log this boat’s progress too.
