Alright. Quick question for those of you with the factory mirrors on your 212x & 242x models.

Once you've mounted your factory mirror, what do you do with it while trailering the boat? Fold it down below the window? Remove it? Or remove just the mirror from the mount?

My mirror has a hand screw to mount the mirror to the arm. I take the mirror off and fold the arm down. Cover can go right over it then. 628DB20A-865A-4C0A-93ED-951C1DD3F9A9.png

Sorry, misread the last response. I just loosen the hand screw, drop it below the windshield and then relighted so it doesn’t vibrate. I don’t remove it.

I just rotate it down too. Then I fit a slit pool noodle (with a cutout for the bracket on the driver side) along the top of the windshield frame on each side as the bracket knobs and center windshield bump stop would wear through the cover when towing.

Thanks. Removing the mirror and folding the mount is what I've done in the driveway so far. I felt that leaving the mirror on and folding it down might puts strain on the windshield, since it's not small.or light.

I like the pool noodle idea. I think I'll probably have to go get one to do that.
