When I first start my boat and it goes through its welcome screen it lists the version of the software that its running.

Does Yamaha update this from time to time?

Can we update our software?

I ask because my Ford dealer just updated the software in my 2011 Ford Edge through a thumb drive and it got me thinking.

Is this for connext? If so my dealer said that they put the latest version in before I picked it up. I can look to see what version if it shows.

I don't think that there are any updates, but I believe you need YDS2 to read the computer on the 2014's. In short, our boats take different software than the older boats (take YDS) to read the computer. If I'm wrong about this, please chime in...
