I always wonder about those kinds of scenarios.
If my boat ever catches fire on the water, I'm not having anyone looking for an extinguisher - we get the f@ck out, quick.
That's also what I've been told, by people who've been doing this way longer than I.

damn. I did not think of that.I suspect the fire was intentional...many boats are abandoned or lit up when the owner no longer wants the burden
