Following the thread Scarab 165 Mods” from Luc and previous one were I complained about the noise I did with succès my own I did an usual waterskis session with the usual friends: it’s an amazing improvement for cheap. One day of job, the boat is now so quiet 
. Unbelievable result confirms by my friends.
The job: removing the hood and the bag from the motor compartment. Buying special foam from Amazon, glue 3M 77 Multipurpose adhésif, pieces of aluminum and stainless screws and bolts. The back from the seat was covered from left to right and from the bottom to the top with accoustic panels ( little glue and some custom pressure pieces of aluminum and using the bag to keep all in place. Removing the hood to glue the phonique insulation and covering the two sides from the engine ( see picture). An easy job for a new boat….
