Well you have all heard about the drought in CA....mostly man made from bad policy...but this is the lake by my house. You can see where the water line should be...but the camera is far away...that is 150' down, They have used the lake in commercials to push climate change BS...they don't tell you that they dropped the lake for Damn repairs.....back to bad policy...if your in a drought you drop the lake an additional 60' to do damn repairs on purpose? Don't always believe what you see on TV...24 miles away is Pyramid Lake....completely full cause it's private property...the state want's them to release water to them...they are a hydro power plant...they asked if the state was sending water down to them and they said no...they release to the lake below that they are dropping...they are sending to their other lake they own and pumping it back up to themselves.....but the 1 3" shad they found in the Delta Chanel last year is getting his water...trillions of gallons of freash water washed out to the ocean....but that 1 little guy is safe....

Propaganda or not, I would always prefer them to lower water levels and fix dams, beats the rapid draining that comes from not fixing them.
The rest of your state's reservoirs with the exception of Pyramid Lake are pretty screwed, call it a man made problem or not, the end result is still no water for exports your state desperately needs.

The drought has worked its way all the way up here (and WA/OR manage their stored water pretty well, so not a man made issue here). Water delivery here has been cut down to 47% of normal this year with more cuts likely coming. The rivers that come from the Cascades are already running from stored water, which usually doesn't happen for another 4-6 weeks.

We had our usual precipitation amounts this year, but it all fell as rain instead of snow because it was too warm all winter.

The last time they went to check the snow pack up here in central/northern california (near reno/tahoe area) they cancelled it due to lack of snow to check. I think it may have been The first time they ever cancelled the April measurement.
