Does anyone else's 212x ('14) squeak? Mine does, I bought nylo washers to put between the metal parts and knobs. This in hopes of reducing noise while on the water. Especially when pulling someone.
Remember to keep the right size allen wrench in your boat. The bolt right at head level on the tower will loosen occasionally and that could turn bad. I tighten mine BACK up about once a month
Yep, mine squeaked for the first month or so. The culprit was the top two hand knobs where the side piece connects to the top tower. I tightened them down as hard as I could (by hand) and the noise stopped. Now I occasionally give them all a good crank to make sure they are tight and quiet.
If I take a hard wake going 20+ every now and again I will hear a hard nock from my tower. But no squeak from the tower when pulling anyone. My guess is you have some bolts that keep coming loose. loctite blue them and see if it goes away, maybe. the nylon washers will likely help as well, but if your bolts are working their way out, it's just going to keep happening.
