AR 250 clanging noise inside left tower

I’m hearing a clanging noise inside the tower of my 2021 AR250 only at higher speeds especially when water is a little bit rough. It’s on the left side in the lower tower bracket that mounts to the boat. Sounds like a loose part. I can hit the tower bracket with my hand in certain places and I hear the same sound. Anyone deal with this? I haven’t looked into disassembly yet.

I think I have the same issue. I brought it to the attention of the dealership and they could not find an issue. I’m going to try and see if the bolts are loose. Do you have a video of of the noise being produced? I have a 2021 ar250.

No I don’t have a video. I plan to hinge the tower forward and see if I can see anything but need a second person to help . Let me know if you figure it out.

Is it the Support cable and washer clanging around? I believe that you can see it by getting a flashlight and looking between the hull and seat back. Maybe tie a rag around it and see if it stops.

it seems like it’s coming from inside the metal tower bracket that mounts to the hull.

I went today to look at it again. I found that the mount for the Bimini top was loose. I thought the sound was coming from inside the tower, maybe it is just the Bimini top mount. I tried tightening the nuts for the tower….they were not that loose and I did not want to over tighten….let me know what you find.

I worked on mine today and hinged the tower forward and I’m pretty sure that the clearance on the hinge between the mount and the tower is so tight that they just rattle against each other when you hit rougher Waters. Seems like a bad design to have them that close But maybe I can find some rubber or something to stick up in there to dampen out the noise. I also found the restraint wire was loose on that side because the weight was not fully dropped down, but I don’t think that was causing the sound.
