Star Brite is also good for...

Please understand that StarBrite is a brand, not a product. StarBrite makes a number of products and all are not the same. The SB Hull Cleaner posted above is not the same as the SB EZ On Off, which is a very strong acid. This one may be a lighter version.

Please read the directions as to the type of surfaces it can be used on, and if it is safe for your application. And when recommending a product, please do so by name or a photo of the product, and not the just the brand. As it gives folks the wrong impression of how safe, how dangerous, or how hard or easy it will make the job.

For Example, EZ On/Off is a strong acid that will damage some surfaces. But is the least amount of effort to brightening a fiberglass hull. One cannot say that about all Star Brite products, as it's a brand. Thanks for helping everyone out just a bit more, with a bit more information.

To address Hull yellowing on the cheap try Barkeepers hear friend soft paste. Cheap and turn yellow gel coat into white like magic, it has the oaxalic acid too as an ingredient.(I'm sure in butchering the name)

Barkeepers is also abrasive....may not be the best acidic choice for gelcoat.

Right, just be gentle, but it works wonders. Will take the wax off for sure.
