I work for Alamarin, and I can give you a couple of alternatives on this type of boat (Love the design, by the way. Beautiful lines on her).

For AJ 180, most commonly installed engine, by far, would be Steyr. Though they were in a bit of financial mess last year, the purchase by Thales seems to have straightened things out somewhat.

We have recently seen an uptick in the number of Nanni installs recently, as well. Their smaller engines are based on Kubota and Toyota blocks and are extremely reliable / fuel efficient.

Volvo Penta is also a very common brand. I attached a slightly outdated approved engines list that may assist you. If you have not yet done so, I will refer you to our Eastern Europe guys who will be happy to assist you with calculations.

Thanks for your message. We've tried to purchase Alamarine 180 for our prototype. We wasted several months for basic proforma expectation.
Anyhow, Rotax team provided us great tech support. We made huge modification with our 500 model. Basically we created new model - with 6.6 m (21ft) length, more spacious cockpit and some ergonomic changes.

We prefer Rotax engine package with worldwide warranty, although any type of lightweight engine and jet pump could be installed. We can set even the prop engine in case someone needed. I should say Rotax solution keeps the boat price extremely low. Much more lower than any other alternatives. Our boats are not for fishing or any other long cruising.

As a result, we are building already 250HP Rotax Riviera 600 model:
