@Aaron Stammet I replaced mine while the boat is on. I had my boat on a slight incline (maybe 5% grade) and I jacked the nose of the trailer up a little higher (to raise the bunks and shift the center of gravity toward the back of the boat). Then when I removed the winch strap I was able to access the rollers without the bow pressing on them at all.

If I measure the middle section of the roller, it measures 3.5". Is that still the 4" roller?

edit: nevermind. I see it fits the bracket at 4". Lol

In order to get it to fit you might have to bend the brackets a bit, or trim the center piece of the roller. Either will do the trick.

A number of guys have trimmed the roller, others like me, have inserted the center roller between the 3.75" arms that the roller mounts to by expanding the arms. It doesn't have to roll or be loose between the support arms...because the boat hull doesn't really touch the center roller when loading or unloading, the two wing rollers prevent it from making much contact until the winch strap is pulled tight. The correct part is the ULT-4...the -3 will be too short.

Good , to know ! Mine should be here Monday . I measures the arms and they are just short of 4", before ordering ult 4. The stock roller is rock hard !!

@Aaron Stammet I had to flex the forks where my roller attached to get it in as well. I don't think you want to cut the roller unless you absolutely have to. When you put the bolt back in (through the forks and center of the roller) it will compress slightly back to your fork's original width. We're talking like 1/8" here, not a lot.
