Sucked in Tow Line

The famous boating over your rope situation, we all have been there at least once.
 
Guilty, all I can say is " if you tell the spotter to watch the rope, ask the spotter if they understand". I did not run the engine after the suckage I dry docked the boat pulled the line and then placed it back in the water to test the engine. Thank goodness all went well.
 
I don't have much luck with spotters and the rope. My crew is usually the Admiral, the kids and their teenage friends.

"Is the rope ok?" Its fine. Grab it. Its fine you are being dramatic. Grad the damn rope. Its around the boat don't worry about it, I am watching it.

Rider's go down. Grab the rope. Its fine, blah, blah, blah.

No one get's it.

It told them the first time I suck up the rope we are done for the day and for a while.
