Does anyone know what the factory RPM limit of the SVHO engines is? After looking across the web I can't seem to find it posted anywhere and I see people on this site posting about 8,000RPMs. Is that stock, or is that for the SHO motor? asking because best I have ever seen in my SX195 is 7,400 (and even with only me and a tank of gas in the boat).

I have the SVHO on a 2018 SX195. From everything I have seen on this site and my own experience, it seems most max RPMs bone stock are between 7,500-7,800 RPMS depending on load, air temp, water temp and altitude.

I'm aware the RPMs can go further, but typically requires an ECU tune and further modifications.

my fzs has been tuned since 2016 so i am trying to remember if it was 7600 or 7800 for the factory rev limiter. i think its 7800. the limiter is def not 8000. our ecus count the amount of time our engines spend at certain rpms and if a dealer scans your ecu and you have time over 8000 then they will refuse warranty service to the motor because they know the ecu will have been flashed. in any case your rpms are maybe a little low

I usually see 7200-7400. But I boat in really hot water/air temps.

Stock max RPM for the SVHO 1.8l engines will be about 7800 in cooler conditions like northern US states with top speed around 50mph for the single engine models. Warmer air and water temp drops that a few hundred RPM, so you're in the right zone for your area. When you see posts that high someone is talking about the TR-1 engines which rev a bit higher up to 8000rpm (SX/AR210 models). The older MR-1 engines revved up to 10,500rpm I believe. The non-supercharged models like the SX/AR190 and 212/240/242/250 series with the HO 1.8l engines like mine hit 7500rpm.

it is my understand that the SVHO engine is good for 8600 rpm with out valve modification and 9600 with valve modification. That being said I would be happy with 8,000 and I think Riva has a tune for that.
My concern is i bought a 4 year warranty for my 255XD and don't want to void the warranty.

If you flash the ecu then that will void the warranty.

Dean's team is the go to flash for the SVHO IMO. I've been running a R&D (no longer in business) R3 flash with an ET Low Boost wheel and Fizzle IC in my FZS SHO since new and it'll go just over 82 on GPS at right around 8400 rpm. Never had any issues other than replacing the SC clutch once which is pretty common with those SCs. The SVHO engines are build a little stouter than the SHOs were to handle more boost/RPM so I wouldn't worry at all about 85/8600 on your boat, but, as said, you need to decide between mods and the warranty.
