Just purchased 2 6" speakers for my swim deck on a 2008 SX230. Has anyone done this before? Total outside diameter of speakers are at 7.0" Looks like it would be an extremely tight fit. I just don't want to cut a hole and find out it doesn't work. I made a template and looks like it will just barely fit with no room for error.

This guy did it on a 240. Not sure how much different the space is where you're trying to install.
