I have a 2012 sx190 with 240 hours on it. I took it out 3 weeks ago for this summer and it ran fine for two days. I went to go back out on the boat and it won’t start. It turns over but will not start.
I pulled the first spark plug and went to start it to see if the plug would spark and nothing.
I took it to a service dealer and they called me and told me it was the ECM? is that the same as ECU?
They said they determined it was that because it wasn’t grounded and send electricity to the spark plug to fire them.
sorry I and not very handy but I wanted to ask all of you. The dealer said that the part is on backorder till July 16 and the part alone is $1300 dollars.
just looking for help and trying to understand this. Should I take it to another place and get another opinion? Can I order the part myself and try to save money? Or could it be something else wrong with the boat.
I have Tried a lot of all the basic stuff that people have posted on the forum to see if I could fix it myself and no luck. Thank you for all the help.
