Thanks for sharing, I appreciate the insight, it aligns with my feelings about the Yamaha jets. The advantages outweigh the disadvantage.
I also appreciate the comment about the biggest challenge being the fact that everyone is comfortable with outboards.... once people get over that comfort level, jets get even more appealing!

In addition to the boat itself (features, handling, speed and comfort/room), the article correctly points out that price is an extremely important factor. When we purchased our FSH 190, we received a $2K discount and a three year bow to stern warranty as it was the end of the model year. We were comparing it to the Scout SF195, and apples to apples (including the T-Top) the FSH 190 Sport was about 13K (about 40% of the FSH purchase price) less expensive (even with the Scout promotion that is still going on). It is a year later in 100% salt water (stored in a rack at the marina), and we have had zero problems.
