Hey y'all I was wondering if anyone had ever removed there thermostat and ran with out it I just picked up a 08 vx 110 and it doesn't have one was curious if I could run my boat with out one

Usually an owner will remove one because of an overheat problem.........it does remove a slight restriction as compared to having the 165 degree stat at wide open. So it might run a little cooler for a while but the main cause of overheat will catch up sooner or later. Might be time to do a good chemical flush like rydlyme or other in a closed loop flush.
