So, after my seasonal maintenance, changing the plugs and oil, I got back on the water and now my port side engine runs about 500 rpms hotter than SB. They used to be the same. I don't think this is my throttle cabling as it seems that the port engine itself seems to be running a little hotter. That is, It's max rpms is now almost 1000 rpms higher than it was pre-maintenance. SB engine seems to be ruinning just as well as before. Boat seems to run well, both engines sound great, just the port runs higher.

Any ideas?

Odd.

Same plugs in both engines, right? Check the oil on both that they are both at the same level? Though I don't think either of those are likely.

I would still check the throttle cabling. That seems most likely--that you knocked something or it has slipped.

Yep, same plugs on both and have changed many times over the years. RPMs have always peaked at about 8500 at full throttle on both engines but this time the port engine is 500 higher and peaks at over 9000. It's never run that hot before.

I'll check the cables.
