What are the performance differences in the original Thrust Vectors and the new XL version. I know the new XL are longer. But does anyone feel a difference?

I found it to be a noticable difference. I upgraded back when the XL's first came out and never regretted it. It puts the blades in the water deeper, so you get more apparent rudder, faster response, and more authority.

They came in handy in the tight slot canyons of lake powell. Great upgrade.

The XL's were such an improvement that we discontinued the original within a few months of the XL's release. You will however see improved steering responsiveness with the originals, just not as much as with the XL.

i am new just bought a 2014 AR240....took it out without the Vector XL and really didnt like my new boat....went out the next day with XLs installed and it saved me a trade off of a brand new boat .....sorry i cant tell you about the original design....but i love the current design.

All I can say is these, The T.V. XL's, were my first "mod" .... and it is money well spent ! More like a very Wise Investment !
Best Wishes, Mikey Lulejian - Lake Oconee, GA

Thanks guys.
@txav8r..you came from Cobras did you not? Did you then do original TV's or straight to XLTV's from Cobras?
