I voted no because I have needed to get behind the windshield on a couple of occasions due to rain. It was somewhat dark (because of the clouds of course), and I would not have felt safe for me or especially my crew with even less visibility.

I think it looks great though. To each his own.

On the fence about tint myself, i also like the look on some boats. When i am driving i usually sit above the windshield, but there have been occasion when I sit low behind windshield on dark days and visibility is #1 concern. I side with the @TheGreekTitan.

I think tint looks great but I'd back off on the tint a fair bit... IMO you'd still achieve a similar effect. (I seem to recall another thread on here where someone posted their boat with different levels of tint rendered on...). Yeah, I usually drive sitting up on the bolster or even standing up but a few times (once was a heavy rain that surprised us) sitting was a must and I'd want better visibility. YMMV! :-)

I was on the fence about a 5% vs 15% tint but after seeing a boat with a 15% At the tint shop I would have been very disappointed with the 15%. You can actually see thru it better when it is cloudy and pics the also make it look darker than it really is.

IMAG0049.jpg always liked the look .

Wait... no factory tint option? Another reason to keep the sexiest boat Yamaha ever made!20160902_181749.jpg

I love the look however my last boat had tinted windows and hated the poor visibility factor . My wife was all on board to purchase the Yamaha because of no tinted windows. Remember with walk thru window open makes double dark

Yeah, on the passenger side. If your window was as low as mine it wouldn't matter anyways!
Had to peer through during a storm once and it wasn't pleasant.

Love the looks, but I'm with some of the others in regards to the loss of visibility.

I Always set on the bolster so not a issue with Me but I respect your opinion.

Anybody think tinting just the sides would look funny? I'd never tint the front for those times you are driving at night in the cold.

I have wanted to tint my 240 since i got it. Every place i talk to is none to thrilled with the ideal of doing it. Some say it will peel up and they wount warranty it. Anyone have issues with anything going bad.

I would have never wanted tinted windows... But the used 2007 AR 230 had them. After having them i love it. It is easier to get behind and see on the water on a sunny day. cuts the glare when we are running back home due west. allows you to quickly look through glass then over the top for obstructions, or boats, and no need for sunglasses, so your eyes stay adjusted for morning/evening conditions. We have been in rough, nasty weather with top up, Just look out behind glass or over the top. no problem.

If you can find someone who has them and try it out, especially when sun is lower on the horizon. Its awesome.

I just had mine done last year. Any reputable tint place should give you a lifetime warranty.mine has a lifetime warranty any trouble and they will remove and replace at no charge. Also before you have them done look over the windows with the installer to make sure their is no scratches on the glass. The first place I took mine to I went to pick it up and he told me he was unable to tint it. Found out he had scratch my side window all to pieces when I had the other place tint them you could tell they we're scratch when the tint was on. Had to replace my side glass. Unfortunately I had no proof that he scratched since I had my boat at 2 tint shops.

I had mine tinted at a place in Panama City for $150 he did an excellent job and I still have no bubbles or peeling. He was worried about the curve and said he couldn't guarantee he could make it work at first, but gave it a shot and came out great, once done he said if I ever have any trouble with it at all I could bring it back and he would redo it, he wasn't affiliated with a chain or anything so his lifetime warranty doesn't mean much to me since I move pretty often, but he trusted it enough to warranty it.
