Top speeds

I thought the rpm is unrestricted after the break-in period of 8hrs ?

I thought I would be able to use my brand new boat all summer. Just be happy yours still runs...
Sorry I was just being funny at my own terrible luck.
It's a little bit different for everyone it seems when you get full power.

Are these sped readings from a GPS or non gpsd dream-o-meter/stock speedometer?

Scarab speedo is GPS, no dream-o-meter.........

My 195 HOI 7800 rpm max with 17 hours...

I think Scarab Ike said rpm's are limited by the computer

Haven't had ideal conditions for mine but i've seen 60 mph with 2 others on board and a decent amount of gas. 215 HO / w twin 200HP

How the??? In ideal conditions I only pull 55. Heck, I pull 55 with 8 people in the boat, choppy water, head wind and a full tank of gas. I see no difference one way or another. Hmm.

I've got a 2015 195 HO Impulse. With a full tank of gas, 3 or more people in the boat, and maybe 250lbs of extra stuff I'm pushing 41 to 42 mph in perfect conditions, averaging 7900 to 8100 rpm. As soon as I hit a little wave though, I'm back to 39, but she won't go much lower than that once she's really going. I rarely get those conditions in my lake though, generally keep it down to 25 or 30 mph so we keep her in the water.

I had my 165 in for 25hr service check and oil change today. Service manager Jeff at Dockside Marine in Willmington Il sounded very knowledgable of the Scarab rotax setup. I asked him how to get more mph , he said he would set me up with different pitch impeller and some other upgraded parts, relatively not too expensive and he would help me get as close to 60mph as possible without changing the ECU. I will wait on these mph enhancements options till maybe next summer.

Did you get the new setup? What was done and how good where those changes?

165HO (2015) 50mph 2 people full tank no wind.

image.jpg 215HO. Max top speed is only 55mph.
Tachs indicate only 7700rpms. Digital rpm is 7620. Well short of the max rpm people talk about of 8-8100.
1/2 tank of fuel. Three people. No wind.
Disappointing.image.jpg
Thoughts?
Boat just rolled 153 hours today...

Pulstar Spark plugs gapped at ~0.025 (a bit smaller gap than engine recommendation), Stainless impeller and 97 Octane provide extra hp to give you an extra MPH or 2. 56 will get you past most production boats. You could also check on reducing any drag from the hull/transom - there are many techniques used to achieve that - beyond my range of knowledge so far.
