Guest, we are pleased to announce that Hydrophase Ridesteady is offering an extra $100 off for JETBOATERS.NET members on any Ridesteady for Yamaha Speed Control system purchased through March 7th, 2025. Ridesteady is a speed control system (“cruise control”) that uses GPS satellites or engine RPM to keep your boat at the set speed you choose. On twin engine boats, it will also automatically synchronize your engines.
Ok Newbie question: Are the stock 242 tower speakers somewhat weatherproof? Mine will be in my driveway without the bimini cover on for about a week while I get some things sorted out.
Not sure if you're talking about a Wet Sounds sound bar or the Icon 8's that came on the 242 Xe's, or something else. You can get speaker covers/cases for Wet Sounds tower speakers.
But my guess is that a week isn't going to hurt anything. They should be plenty waterproof enough. I'd be more concerned about eventual sun damage to the speaker elements, but a week should be fine.
