I'm taking my boat into the shop tomorrow and want to put on my shipping cover, but the tower has to be down.(I don't want my mooring cover to get dirty)I have the brackets, but was wondering if anyone tows with their tower down. I have to travel 62 miles, all highway. Thanks.

As long as you have the brackets on both side you should be fine.

Every boat is delivered from the factory with the tower down using the brackets.

What brackets? I just got a front tent pole...

The boat is shipped with brackets that support the tower while its down during dhipping. I also got a tent pole, 3 of them...lol

The tent pole is for your cover so it doesn't sag and allow water to pool. However, when the boats are shipped, they come with the towers folded and a set of brackets, 1 per side, that hold the tower in place when folded so that it doesn't bounce and damage itself or worse your windscreen. It actually goes attached to the tower and the base of the tower. Dealers throw it out in most cases unless you specifically ask for them when you buy the boat.

Yeah, I only use the front and back, not the center. I store indoors, so use my cover for towing only

My dealer never gave me the brackets and when I asked for them, he sent me just the two for sides of the tower. I am still missing the middle one that connects to center of the Bimini. Anyone has an extra one or not planning to use and would be willing to sell?
same as in pic below.

edit: added this pic I borrowed from someone here.
