Watched JBP Will do spark plug change video and I have my spark plug socket that is magnetized and 5/8”. The shaft is about 2.5”-2.75” and with extension it is 6”. It slides down but will not go down onto plug. His video was on different motor I see now so don’t know if that works as same. This socket does slide over the new spark plug though. Any advice?

Maybe different size socket The tr-1 and 1.8 have different sized spark plugs

CR9EB 6955 my 5/8" magnetic socket slides onto it easily and kind of grabs on with the magnet. try it with a spark plug if you have one.
Never had a problem.

You may have a rubber insert in your spark plug socket and it is often very tight and won't let the socket go down enough to get in the correct position to loosen the plug so look in the socket and try removing the rubber section if it has one.
