Trailering Tower Down

Different boat I know, but I trailered our AR190 600 miles to FL with the tower down and then home with the tower up and although there are more variable than that, I did see +3 MPG with the tower down.

Wow, that's actually pretty significant. I haven't checked with the boat yet, but when I'm pulling the camper I only get like 10-12 mpg. A 3 mpg difference would be amazing.

Played around with the cover a little bit when I was tucking her in this morning. Its definitely only meant to be on with the tower down which is kind of a bummer. I also took a pic of the cover part number in case that is useful for anyone.

Notice it says "Over Tower Long...something" but I can't read the rest. Hmmm.

What's strange is that even with the tower down the cover still looks a little baggy compared to the other shipping covers, mespeically out back between the tower and under the swim deck/side hull area. I hope that thing doesn't balloon into a massive ball going down the road as that will certainly kill the fuel mileage.

Thanks for posting. Unfortunately this is different than the older style, the older one does not require the tower to be put down, just velcros around the tower base. Too bad they changed it that way.
