For those of you that have installed trim tabs, where did you connect them into the electrical system? I have a 242 Limited SE. If I connect them directly to the battery, it seems like they'd always be powered. I'd rather have them connected so they're only powered when the battery switches are on... I'm wondering what have others done?

You can tie it into your house or start battery switch.
Add another switch, add a fuse block, allows makes it easier down the road if you want to add other accessories (this is the preferred method)
Or run directly to the battery with fuse and if you want an inline switch.

I ran mine directly to the battery with an inline fuse, for this season. I'll add the fuse block when I pull the boat out this fall.

I purchased and installed Bennetts Tabs on both my jet boats (love them!) Both times I connected to a 12v power source under the helm. Pretty much followed the directions. Had no issues. Some switches have options that'll automatically retract when the boat is turned off or the batteries are turned off (depending on how they're wired).
