Hey everyone , I have a ar192 and solely use it in salt water, here in Miami the weather is totally unpredictable Lol you can head out in 4-5 knot winds and head home with 15-20 knot winds -.- I've heard trim tabs can really help with choppy waters. Was wondering if anyone here has them on a 19ft or 21ft and what's your opinion on them. Any brands you recommend ? Is it worth it on a 19ft ??
Just want something that can help me with the chop and for smoother safer rides. What size tabs ??? Need all the info I can get on trim tabs on a jet boat Lol
Thank you for reading and for all your input !!!!

I am not aware of anyone installing trim tabs on a 19 or 21 foot hull. But lots of 23 and 24 owners have them. They make a huge difference. This is what I did https://jetboaters.net/threads/lectrotab-trim-tabs.71/ . I find them very useful when traffic gets heavy on our local lake. Others commented how much smoother our boat was on the Bimini 2014 crossing.

Are you joining us for Bimini 2015? We are departing from Fort Lauderdale on July 6th. The planning thread is at https://jetboaters.net/threads/bimini-2015-july-6th-to-11th.2647/

How does it handle rough water with them? Any better?

It does much better, in 2' chop you can run 25-30mph pretty comfortably. I can't remember the last time I didn't use them, even when it's flat there's always a little pull causing you to hold the wheel, the tabs can counteract that.

@ArmyChief, I believe you will find this thread interesting.

@bucks448, could you post about your trim tabs here. Some of us are banned over there?
