I need assistance with my SIMRAD GO 7 in two areas. First has to do with depth reading and the second is how to download the latest updates.

The Simrad was installed last year and I had no issues with depth until recently. I have a NAVICO thru hull B60-20 20 degrees tilted element transducer. I have not hit bottom or anything like that so I think I screwed it up playing with settings. I have tried resetting and when the sonar page comes up listing transducers I do not see the transducer I have listed. I have tried some of those listed but still cannot get depth readings either at the dock or underway. On occasion it will show depth when in 12 to 18 feet of water but most of my boating is in 3 to 6 feet. Any suggestions on how I can fix this is greatly appreciated.

I also need to know how to update tot he lates software and the best way to do it.

Thank you and all have a safe Fourth of July[flag][flag]

I can’t help with the transducer question, but I just (yesterday) updated my new GO7. seems you have to have a micro SD card installed. I had to borrow one from my father. I downloaded the update to the card on my PC, but when I installed the card in my unit it did not use it. I connected to my home WiFi, but you can also use a phone personal WiFI. Go into settings then about the there is an option to check for updates (sorry don’t remember exactly what it says). If it sees the card installed it will download the ~140mb file Tom the card and start the install after the unit reboots. Hope this helps.

Anytime, hope it helped
