@RiverRat Is the river shut down or are the locks still open?

Man that's crazy

@buckbuck i haven't heard anything about a shut down, but all the rollers have been pulled up for a while now letting all the water through.

:wideyed:IMG_3808.JPG As of a few days ago, barges still there....

Unbelievable. Someone is in big trouble. Did you ever hear what he was trying to do on the video? It almost looked purposeful.

I heard that the tug lost power long enough to loose control, submerged log or something. Sunk barges had corn in them, gonna be some fat carp.

Pool 9. Walleye fisherman are just too hardcore for me. Gotta love the upper Mississippi though, guys ice fishing and open water fishing at the same time. Been a mild winter though, usually there’s guys on Atv’s where those boats are.

Booked one of these bad boys the second week of July. River is trending low so far this year, fingers crossed it stays good all summer.C80A6F09-C725-4856-B9AD-D9ADDC33B7F3.jpeg

Until Wednesday when we had some nasty weather roll through, had to hold the houseboat into the shore with the motors, as the anchors were no match for the wind gusts. I anticipated the incoming weather and had everything fired up and otherwise secured before the weather hit, so we were no worse for the wear. I had the Yamaha held down the beach with two sand anchors from Boat Anchor | SandBarAnchors.com and they held awesome.8EFE50A0-A865-4164-B20E-C3B9D66CC74C.jpeg264A2FF7-2CD8-4DEB-8C14-96DF406DDDFD.jpeg9A776183-15A5-4A00-9B2B-C08A4A61425B.jpeg
