Hello fellow jet boat owners!
We have 2022 Yahaha SX195 factory Polk speakers and Jensen stereo can we upgrade speakers only and will Jensen support the upgrade?

The Polk speakers are actually pretty decent sounding. Upgrading to better speakers without adding an amp would be a waste of money. Add just a decent marine amp to the Polks if you want to keep your costs down, and wire it into the system. Nothing wrong with the speakers or Jensen head unit, you just need an amp to get the Polks jumping.

that is exactly what I did when I first got my boat... the Polk Speakers really did a good job once they had and amp hooked up to them, definitely can handle a lot more power than the stock Jensen head unit can supply. I later ended up upgrading speakers but was still able to use the existing amp, so it allowed me to upgrade the system in stages (I also went with larger 8" speakers in the rear when I finally did upgrade the speakers and that made a big difference as well since the 6.5" polks don't really have any low range)
