Guest, we are pleased to announce that Hydrophase Ridesteady is offering an extra $100 off for JETBOATERS.NET members on any Ridesteady for Yamaha Speed Control system purchased through March 7th, 2025. Ridesteady is a speed control system (“cruise control”) that uses GPS satellites or engine RPM to keep your boat at the set speed you choose. On twin engine boats, it will also automatically synchronize your engines.
I have a new to me 2011 Yamaha AR240. I just wonder if there are any upgrades available for the instrument panel/dashboard. I have looked on line and so far have not found anything.
Welcome! Good to have you here and congrats on the new (to you) boat!
No upgrades for the dash as far as a single all-in-one kit. There are many upgrades available that modify the dash (for example, there is a cruise control-type system that can go in place of one of the gauges, many people add Ram mounts all over, then add phone holders or chartplotters, etc.). We did even have one guy here who pulled the whole dash and made a new one out of Starboard--repositioned things and laid it all out nice. But I haven't see anything from a vendor to do that.
Thank you for your reply. I can’t read the digital display on the left or right tac. Knowing how much gas I have is a guessing game. To replace is about $600 each. Figured before I spent that much I would check and see if there were other options.

It seems strange you only cannot see the digital parts, I would do some investigation around the wiring to the back of the gauges if you haven't already?
If you can’t read the displays because the two lines are too small, try cycling though the guage menus to see if you can get to a single / larger line display. I think that’s an option But not positive as I usually set the displays to show fuel level, time, water temp and depth.
there are no dash upgrades that I’m aware of but their are some bolt on replacement upgrades for the impellers, cones, and air filters. A lot of first gen 240 owners replace the stock sound systems or at least add an amp or two to them.
Ronnie nailed it. I changed the print size, as it was too small to read. But I keep the fuel gauge up all the time. It's in the manual, available online if you don't have a printed copy.
