Has anyone purchased a used wear ring from Ebay? Would love to hear about any experiences with purchasing them, good and bad.

A new one is $250 and it seems you can get a decent used one on Ebay for ~$60.

The wear ring part numbers are the same for a lot of boats and even older Jet Ski's.

For example I'm 99% sure this will fit on my 242. (66V-51312-01-94)

Here is a search by part number:

Are you sure you need wear rings. I replaced mine in my former boat, only to learn the problem was the impellors. They looked great to the naked eye, but were not. After I replaced the housings, I got the same result, so I replaced the impellers and it fixed the problem. I went with wear rings that take a plastic insert that is pressed in. In the future the new boat owners will only have to purchase new plastic inserts if they wear.

Now is the time to pull the pumps apart and get your props reconditioned.
