I am looking to buy the Ronix 3700gph pump and associated ballast bags to add extra weight to my 212x and I wanted to know if anyone has used one of these or something of similar power draw through the cigarette lighter port? With the batteries being covered and recessed into the floor I would prefer to not have to alligator clip to the battery if possible? The pump says it has a 20amp fuse if that helps.

Cheers,

Chuds

I seriously doubt the cig plug will support 20a. Just run some wires to the battery to a convenient location and add a plug rated for 20a.

I added a 12v outlet on the port side and wired it directly to the battery with a fuse and use it for the pump. I put it hit enough so it’s above the bag when full. Works great.
